Kidfderminster Post Graduate Medical Centre Annual Report for 2024 / 2025 - issued 7th May 2025 |
||
|
Dear Colleagues,
Accounts for the year ending 31st March 2025 confirm a
balance of £80,049 in the society’s reserves - down from £90,587 in 2023
/ 2024. At the same time, the trust’s income from our COIF (fixed income
investment) has improved marginally to £2481 while the capital sum
invested has improved marginally to ££2,481 while the capital sum
invested has declined by £10,643 to £78,970. As a result of this rather
modest investment income and expenditure of another £15,000 on five more
bursary awards, the excess of expenditure over income remains
significant at a level of £10,538. This compares with a negative balance
of £8,139 in the previous financial year.
I can now report that our trustees in the
Education Centre towards the end of last year consider applications for
the Society’s postgraduate bursary
for 2024
/ 2025. Contact had again been made with 30 plus medical schools in the
UK and these prompted five applications with clear cut connections to
the Wyre Forest area. These included Syeda Saara, Brandon Caan, Phillip
Cobon, Sophie Griffiths and Macaulay Rose, all of whom had local
addresses and / or attended local schools. All five applicants were
considered worthy and were each awarded the full bursary value of
£3,000. Fir
the attached accounts and the above account details we are again
extremely grateful for the service so generously provided by Gordon Cox.
Please let me know if these accounts, or any other matter in this
report, needs further clarification.
Best wishes.
Martin Lewis
